David Armistead was born in 1969 in Yorkshire. Here is a note from David on how his passion was born:
‘I've been around art all my life. I would watch in awe as my mum Pauline and Gran Clara would effortlessly create magic onto paper or canvas.
I'd spend a lot of time at my Gran’s bungalow at Fulneck. Her garden over looked the valley with Tong Hall in the distance. The views were idyllic and we'd spend hours painting outside.
I've always loved the challenge of bringing life to a flat piece of paper, I think all artists have their best days when they can almost jump into the picture.
I don't have a "best" picture, more the best reactions. Some very emotional and I feel privileged to be part of that moment.
